Steps
Ask ten past clients why they chose you
Your position comes from clients, not from a brainstorm. Send three short questions: what problem they had, why they chose you and what changed after.
WeakWhat do you think of our service?
BetterWhat problem made you look for help? Why did you choose us over other options? What is different now?
Talk to three of them for ten minutes
Short calls give you the exact words clients use for the before and after. Ask first, take notes and keep their phrases as they said them.
Write three angles and pick one
Turn the answers into three angles, each with who you serve, the problem and the outcome. Pick the one with the most proof in the clients' own words.
WeakWe help businesses grow with innovative solutions.
BetterWe help small guesthouses fill quiet weekdays with direct bookings.
Put the sentence to work
Use the chosen sentence as your sign-up page headline, in your email signature and in your bio. The same words everywhere make you easier to remember.
The full instruction
Copy it into any AI chat assistant and change only the first line.
Change only this line: SERVICE = [interior design for rental apartments] You help me find the positioning of my SERVICE in one sentence, using only what my clients said. Below I paste answers from past clients (problem, why they chose me, what changed) and quotes from three short calls. Do three things: 1. List the words and phrases clients repeat, with how many times each appears. 2. Write 3 positioning angles. Each one: who I serve, the problem, the outcome, in at most 20 words, and the client quotes that support it. 3. Say which angle has the strongest proof and why, then rewrite it as a sign-up page headline, an email signature line and a bio of at most 30 words. Use only the clients' answers; do not invent results. Start with the repeated words. Paste your material below this line:
What you end up with
One sentence that says who you serve and what you solve, backed by your clients' own words and already working on your sign-up page, signature and bio. You learn your position from the people who paid you, which is faster and more accurate than guessing.
Common mistakes
- Writing the sentence before asking any client.
- Changing clients' words into polished marketing language.
- Using a different description on every page.

We recommend a specialised tool for each process rather than one tool that does everything. Tools that try to do everything rarely do any one job really well, because no single function gets perfected. It is the same in life, in business and in relationships: spread your attention over ten places and nothing gets done properly.
