Watermark detection
Watermark detection is using software to find an invisible or visible signal that shows a picture, video or audio was made by an AI tool.
What it means in practice
It works only when the maker added a signal and it was not removed, so a missing signal does not prove content is real. Do not treat any detector as final proof.
Example
Running a suspicious image through a checker offered by the tool that made it.
