Glossary
Voice cloning
Voice cloning is creating a synthetic voice that sounds like a specific real person from recordings of that person.
What it means in practice
Only clone a voice with the clear, written consent of the person it belongs to, and never to pretend to be someone. Tell listeners when a voice is synthetic.
Example
A presenter who agrees in writing that an AI copy of their voice may read training scripts.
