Deepfake
A deepfake is a realistic fake image, video or audio of a real person made with AI to show something they did not do or say.
What it means in practice
Never make one of a real person without their consent, and never use one to mislead. If you meet a suspicious clip, check the original source before you share it.
Example
A fake clip that makes a known person appear to say a sentence they never said.
