Glossary
Upscaling
Upscaling is using software to enlarge a picture or video and add plausible detail so it looks sharper at a bigger size.
What it means in practice
The added detail is guessed, so faces, text and fine patterns can change. Compare with the original before you use it.
Example
Enlarging a small product photo for a printed flyer and checking the label still reads correctly.
