A basement window, four kittens and a mother who trusts no one. The app told Thomas what to bring - and why you take the whole family.
What the app said
A neighbour’s photo of a basement window was enough: the app counted four kittens and a wary mother and listed what to bring - a warm towel, a little wet food, no sudden moves, and gloves.
Thomas never chases. A dish in the light, a still gloved hand, eyes on the bowl instead of the cat.
Why the whole family
A volunteer wanted one kitten. Thomas asked her to help catch all five: one went home with her, the mother and three kittens went to his small private shelter. Taking the whole family means nobody is left alone in the basement.
