01 — People scroll past photos
Sandra’s new jacket had clean photos and very few clicks. People scroll past still pictures; a short video makes them stop. She had no model, no runway and no budget for either. She had one good product photo and a free evening.
02 — Ten seconds
The AI turned the photo into a ten-second clip: the jacket turning slowly, light running along the zip, a soft shadow behind it. It also offered a model walking through rain on a famous street. Sandra said no. Nobody had worn this jacket in the rain yet.
03 — What the video may not show
Her rule fits on a sticky note: the video shows the jacket, not a life. No invented street, no invented model, nothing that looks like leather unless it says faux leather. The last frame says what the jacket is made of and that the video was made with AI.
04 — One link
The clip went up with one link, straight to the jacket in her shop. The first comment asked whether the zip is metal. It is, and Sandra answered with a close-up photo of the zip. The questions after that were about sizes, not about the material.
