The AI made Sandra’s black jacket look perfect. A little too perfect: it had turned it brown.
01 — One phone photo
The new faux-leather jacket arrived on Monday, and the only photo Sandra had was taken on her studio floor, next to a radiator and a coffee cup. Her shop page needed three clean shots: front, back and a close-up of the zip. A photographer would take a week. She had one evening.
02 — Clean in a minute
The AI tool took the floor away in seconds: a white background, a soft shadow, the jacket standing as if someone were wearing it. Then the close-up of the zip and the stitching, sharp. It looked like a catalogue. Sandra picked up the real jacket and held it next to the screen.
03 — The wrong black
On the screen the jacket was a warm, expensive brown-black. In her hands it was black. Plain black. A customer would open the box and feel cheated by a colour. She redid the shots and corrected the colour until the screen matched the jacket on her desk.
04 — The line under the photos
Under the photos she wrote one line: product photos edited with AI, colour checked against the real jacket. The first buyer sent a picture of herself wearing it, in the same black. Sandra saved it in a folder called proof.
