Steps
Find the customers who stopped ordering
Export orders and list the people who bought before but not in the last few months. Only contact people who agreed to hear from you.
Ask one question before you offer anything
One short question: what would make you come back? The answers tell you whether the reason is price, product, delivery or simply that they forgot.
WeakWe miss you. Here is a big discount, today only.
BetterYou ordered from us last spring. One question, ten seconds: what would make you order again?
Send three emails, each with an unsubscribe
Email 1 shares real news, email 2 a useful tip, email 3 one fair offer. Every email has a visible unsubscribe link, and stopping is respected straight away.
Add one clean product image
Fix the light and background of the product photo for the emails. A cared-for image shows a cared-for shop.
The full instruction
Copy it into any AI chat assistant and change only the first line.
Change only this line: PRODUCT = [handmade leather wallets] You help me win back past customers of my PRODUCT without pushing them. I want to reach customers who bought before and not in the last 6 months. Before you start, ask me what I know about why people stop ordering. If I know nothing yet, work from that. Do four things: 1. Write one short question to ask these customers, with 4 answer options and an "other" field. 2. When I paste the answers, group them by reason (price, product, delivery, forgot, other). 3. Write 3 emails (news, useful tip, one fair offer), each under 90 words, each with a visible unsubscribe line. 4. List what I must not do: guilt messages, fake deadlines, more than three emails. Start with the question.
What you end up with
Past customers hear from you three times, in a way they can stop at any moment, with an offer that answers their real reason. Selling to people who already know you usually costs less than finding new ones.
Common mistakes
- Opening with a discount before you know why they left.
- Emailing people who never agreed to hear from you.
- Hiding the unsubscribe link.
Processes that need more than one tool
Each process below uses several tools, each for the job it does best. Any AI chat assistant works where one is named.

We recommend a specialised tool for each process rather than one tool that does everything. Tools that try to do everything rarely do any one job really well, because no single function gets perfected. It is the same in life, in business and in relationships: spread your attention over ten places and nothing gets done properly.
