Steps
Write twenty hooks from real buyer reasons
Paste the reasons buyers really give you and ask for twenty opening lines of at most ten words. Each hook names a real problem, a real detail of the product or a real way it works. For hook patterns, see /guides/honest-hooks-that-stop-the-scroll/.
WeakYou will not believe what this bottle does.
BetterA water bottle that fits the cup holder in a small car.
Keep three hooks with three different angles
Pick one problem hook, one detail hook and one how-it-works hook. Three hooks that say the same thing teach you nothing in a test.
Make the presenter version, and keep it a presenter
Use an AI presenter who explains the product, never one who pretends to be a customer. No 'I bought this' lines, no reviews, no results. Put 'AI presenter' on screen for the whole ad.
WeakI bought this last month and it changed my mornings.
BetterThis is an AI presenter. Here is how the bottle fits a small cup holder, in fifteen seconds.
Make a product-only version with an AI voice-over
Animate your own product photo and add a voice-over in an AI voice. The product must look exactly as sold. Write 'AI voice' in the caption or on screen.
Plan one week of testing and write it down
Run the three ads to the same audience with the same daily budget you set yourself, and change only the hook. Turn on your ad platform's AI disclosure where it offers one. Log every ad in a spreadsheet and decide after the week from your ad manager's figures, not from a feeling.
The full instruction
Copy it into any AI chat assistant and change only the first line.
Change only this line: PRODUCT = [a foldable laptop stand for home offices] You help me turn real buyer reasons into three short test ads for my PRODUCT. Below this prompt I paste the real reasons buyers give me (from reviews, messages, sales notes) and the facts I can prove (size, material, how it works, delivery). If you need to know where the ads will run, ask me first. Do four things: 1. Write 20 hooks of at most 10 words, each based on one real reason or fact I gave. 2. Pick 3 with different angles (problem, detail, how it works) and explain the choice in one line each. 3. For each of the 3, write a 15-second script for an AI presenter who explains the product. The presenter never speaks as a customer: no "I bought this", no reviews, no results. The first line on screen says "AI presenter". 4. Write a one-week test plan: same audience, same budget I set, only the hook changes, what to log each day. No invented numbers, no urgency, no exclamation marks. Start with the 20 hooks. Paste your material below this line:
What you end up with
Three short ads with three different hooks, each labelled as AI, and a one-week test plan that changes only one thing, so the result tells you which hook to keep.
Common mistakes
- Letting the AI presenter talk as if it were a real customer.
- Testing three hooks that make the same point.
- Changing the audience or the budget in the middle of the test week.
Processes that need more than one tool
Each process below uses several tools, each for the job it does best. Any AI chat assistant works where one is named.
Write and shortlist hooks
Tools, in order: any AI chat assistant → a spreadsheet
- Paste real buyer reasons into the chat assistant and ask for twenty hooks.
- Copy them into a spreadsheet, tag each with its angle and keep three with different angles.
The prompt for this process
Write ad hooks from the real reasons my buyers give. Product: [what it is and who buys it] Real buyer reasons: [paste from reviews and messages, without names] Facts I can prove: [paste] Write 20 hooks of at most 10 words. Each one is based on one reason or fact above and tagged as problem, detail or how-it-works. No invented numbers, no urgency, no reviews. Format it as a table I can paste into a spreadsheet: hook, angle, which reason it uses. Start with the table.
Presenter version, labelled AI
Tools, in order: Synthesia → a video editor
- Make the 15-second presenter ad in Synthesia with a stock AI presenter who explains the product.
- Add the 'AI presenter' label and captions in a video editor and export in vertical format.
The prompt for this process
Write a 15-second script for an AI presenter in Synthesia who explains my product. Hook: [paste the chosen hook] Product facts: [paste] Next step for viewers: [e.g. see sizes on our site] The presenter is a presenter, never a customer: no "I bought this", no reviews, no results, no personal story. Write the script in at most 40 spoken words, an on-screen label "AI presenter" for the whole ad, and captions split into short lines. Start with the script.
Product-only version with voice-over
Tools, in order: PixVerse → Murf
- Animate your own product photo in PixVerse with one slow movement.
- Record the 15-second voice-over in Murf and label it as an AI voice.
The prompt for this process
Help me make a product-only version of my ad: my photo animated in PixVerse and a voice-over recorded in Murf. Product: [what it is, exact colour, shape, text] The photo shows: [describe] Hook: [paste] Write one motion prompt of at most 30 words with one movement and one camera move, ending with "The product keeps its exact colour, shape and text." No people, children or animals. Then write a voice-over of at most 40 words and a caption line that says "AI voice". Start with the motion prompt.
Schedule the posts for the test
Tools, in order: Blotato → an ad manager
- Schedule the three versions as posts on the same days and times with Blotato.
- Run the same three as ads in your ad platform's ad manager with the same audience and budget, and turn on its AI disclosure where offered.
The prompt for this process
Write a one-week test plan for three short ads that differ only in the hook. The three ads: [hook and format of each] Platform: [e.g. Facebook and Instagram] Daily budget I set myself: [amount] Audience: [describe] Write a plan: which days and times to post the organic versions, how to set up the three ads so only the hook differs, what to log each day in a spreadsheet and how to decide the winner after the week from my ad manager's figures. Do not predict results. Start with the setup.
For this result we recommend these tools
This guide describes a result. These tools are one way to get there faster. Whether one pays for itself depends on your work, and we promise no result.

Blotato
An AI tool that writes, creates and schedules social media posts across many accounts.
From $29 per month (Starter) (source, checked 2026-10-16)
Blotato is a tool for writing, scheduling and publishing social posts on many platforms from one place. In this guide it is used in “Schedule the posts for the test”. Creators and shops use it to plan a week of posts in one sitting; its strength is one queue for every channel.
7-day free trial (source, checked 21 Oct 2026)
We recommend a specialised tool for each process rather than one tool that does everything. Tools that try to do everything rarely do any one job really well, because no single function gets perfected. It is the same in life, in business and in relationships: spread your attention over ten places and nothing gets done properly.
