What you need

Sandra, a Kailiniai hero
  • Your online store's product export
  • A spreadsheet with a length formula
  • Any AI chat assistant, and a second chat for the check
  • A list of words your customers really use when they search
  • ShopifyA working store with checkoutTrial

Steps

  1. Export the products with their facts

Export handle, product name, type, material, colour and current SEO fields into a spreadsheet. The AI writes only from these columns, so fill gaps before you start.

  2. Write titles and meta in batches of ten

Give the assistant ten rows at a time with clear rules: title length, description length, one main search phrase per product, no claims the product cannot back up.

    Weak

Write SEO titles for my products.

    Better

For each row write a title of at most 60 characters with the product type and one real detail, and a meta description of at most 155 characters that says what it is and who it is for. Use only the columns given.

  3. Check length and duplicates with formulas

Add a length column with LEN and a duplicate flag with COUNTIF. Anything too long or repeated goes back for a rewrite.

    Example

=LEN(F2) in G2 shows the title length. =COUNTIF(F:F,F2)>1 in H2 shows TRUE for a duplicate title.

  4. Let a second check look for stuffing and claims

Paste the finished rows into a fresh chat and ask it only to flag keyword stuffing, repeated phrases and claims not in the product facts. The writer does not grade its own work.

  5. Import back and spot-check the store

Import the file back with the same handles, then open five product pages and check the title and description in the page source or search preview.

The full instruction

Copy it into any AI chat assistant and change only the first line.

Change only this line: STORE = [linen bedding for families]

You write SEO titles and meta descriptions for my products from a spreadsheet.
My store sells my STORE.
Rules: title at most 60 characters, meta description at most 155 characters, one main phrase per product.

Below I paste the words customers really use (search terms or customer phrases), then ten rows: handle, name, type, material, colour, other facts.

For each row, return: handle, title, meta description, main phrase used.
Use only facts in the row. No keyword stuffing, no "best", no claims the product cannot back up, no prices.
If a row lacks a fact you need, write [MISSING?] and name the missing fact instead of guessing.

Start with the first row.

Paste your material below this line:

What you end up with

Fifty products with clear titles and descriptions within length limits, no duplicates, no unsupported claims, imported back and spot-checked.

Common mistakes

  • Stuffing the same phrase into every title.
  • Letting the AI add features that are not in the product facts.
  • Importing without matching handles, so the fields land on the wrong products.

Processes that need more than one tool

Thomas, a Kailiniai hero

Each process below uses several tools, each for the job it does best. Any AI chat assistant works where one is named.

  1. Export the products

Tools, in order: Shopify → a spreadsheet

    1. Export your products from Shopify as a file with handle, title, type, tags and the SEO fields.
    2. Open it in a spreadsheet and fill missing facts such as material and colour before any AI step.

    The prompt for this process

Here are the column names of my product export and three sample rows: [paste].

Tell me which columns an SEO title and meta description need, which facts are missing in the sample rows and which columns I must not change so the import still works. Then suggest the extra columns I should add for the new title, the new description and their lengths.

Start with the columns I must not change.

  2. Generate titles and meta

Tools, in order: a spreadsheet → any AI chat assistant

    1. Copy ten rows at a time from the spreadsheet into the chat assistant.
    2. Paste the returned titles and descriptions into the new columns, matched by handle.

    The prompt for this process

Write SEO titles and meta descriptions for these ten products.

Rows: [paste handle, name, type, material, colour, facts]
    Words customers really use: [paste]

Rules: title at most [60] characters with the product type and one real detail; meta description at most [155] characters saying what it is and who it is for. One main phrase per product. Use only facts in the row, no "best", no prices. Return a table with handle, title, description.

    Start with row 1.

  3. Check length and duplicates

Tools, in order: a spreadsheet → any AI chat assistant

    1. Add LEN and COUNTIF columns in the spreadsheet and filter rows that are too long or repeated.
    2. Paste the finished rows into a fresh chat that only checks, and fix what it flags.

    The prompt for this process

You are a checker, not a writer. Do not rewrite anything.

Here are my product titles and meta descriptions with their facts: [paste table].

For each row, flag: keyword stuffing, the same phrase used in many rows, any claim not supported by the facts, and anything that reads unnaturally. Return only the flagged rows with the reason in one line. If nothing is wrong in a row, skip it.

Start with the first flagged row.

  4. Import back

Tools, in order: a spreadsheet → Shopify

    1. Copy the checked titles and descriptions into the SEO columns and save the file in the original format.
    2. Import it into Shopify with the same handles and spot-check five product pages.

    The prompt for this process

Help me import my new SEO fields safely.

    My spreadsheet columns: [paste names]
    Number of rows: [number]

Write a checklist of at most 8 steps: which columns to copy into the SEO fields, how to keep handles unchanged, how to save the file, what to test with a small import first and which five things to check on live product pages afterwards.

    Start with the checklist.
