Steps
Write the decision table first
Before any question, write a table: which combination of answers leads to which product. If two products always come out the same, one question is missing; if a product never comes out, a question is wrong.
WeakAsk some fun questions and show a random bestseller.
BetterDrinks tea every morning + likes strong taste leads to Blend A. Drinks tea in the evening + wants no caffeine leads to Blend B.
Link each result to a product or collection
Every result ends on a real product or collection page, with one sentence on why it fits the answers.
Send the result by email with one tip
If the visitor leaves an email, send the result with one honest tip for using the product. No pressure, and an easy way to unsubscribe.
Use one clean image per result
Same plain background and same light for every result image, so the results look like one set.
The full instruction
Copy it into any AI chat assistant and change only the first line.
Change only this line: STORE = [an online tea shop with six loose-leaf blends] You help me build a product-finder quiz for my STORE. Below I paste my products with who each one suits and who it does not suit, plus notes on what buyers usually get wrong when choosing. Do four things: 1. Write a decision table: 5 questions, their answer options, and which answer combinations lead to which product. Every product must be reachable. 2. Write the 5 questions in plain words, each with 2-4 answers. 3. For each product, write one sentence on why it fits the answers that lead to it. 4. For each result, write a short follow-up email (under 80 words) with the product and one honest tip. No health or performance claims I have not given you. Start with the decision table. Paste your material below this line:
What you end up with
A quiz where every answer path ends on a real product, a result page that explains the choice, a follow-up that sends itself and answers that show you what buyers are really looking for.
Common mistakes
- Writing questions before the decision table.
- A result that points to a product that is out of stock.
- Promising results the product cannot guarantee.
Processes that need more than one tool
Each process below uses several tools, each for the job it does best. Any AI chat assistant works where one is named.
Write the decision table first
Tools, in order: any AI chat assistant → Typeform
- Ask a chat assistant for a decision table: answer combinations to products.
- Check that every product can come out and none comes out for everything.
- Build the five questions with logic jumps in Typeform.
Recommended for this step: Typeform
Quality: every answer path ends on a real product
The prompt for this process
Help me write the decision table for a product-finder quiz. I will build it in Typeform with logic jumps. My products and who each suits: [list] Write 5 questions with 2-4 answers each, then a table: answer combination to product. Every product must be reachable, and no single product may win every path. Point out any question that does not change the result. Start with the questions.
Link each result to a product or collection
Tools, in order: any AI chat assistant → Shopify
- Ask a chat assistant for one sentence per result on why it fits.
- Link each result screen to the Shopify product or collection page.
- Click every result once to test the links.
Recommended for this step: Shopify
Money: fewer visitors leave without choosing
The prompt for this process
Write the result texts for my product-finder quiz. Each result links to a Shopify product or collection page. Results and products: [list] Answers that lead to each result: [paste from the decision table] For each result write a heading of at most 8 words and one sentence on why this product fits the answers. No claims about results the product cannot guarantee. Start with result 1.
Send the result by email with one tip
Tools, in order: any AI chat assistant → Systeme.io
- Ask a chat assistant for one short email per result.
- Set the emails in Systeme.io so each result sends its own email.
- Take the quiz yourself and check the email arrives.
Recommended for this step: Systeme.io
Time: follow-up sends itself
The prompt for this process
Write a short follow-up email for each quiz result. They will be sent automatically from Systeme.io. Results and products: [list] Each email: a subject line of at most 45 characters, at most 80 words, the recommended product with its link [LINK?], one honest tip for using it and a visible unsubscribe line. No pressure and no fake deadlines. Start with result 1.
Use one clean image per result
Tools, in order: Fotor → any AI chat assistant
- In Fotor, remove the background and match the light for each result photo.
- Ask a chat assistant for a short alt text per image.
- Put the images side by side and check they look like one set.
Recommended for this step: Fotor
Quality: results look like one set
The prompt for this process
I am preparing one image per quiz result. I clean them in Fotor (background, light, sharpness). Products: [list] Write a short checklist so all images look like one set: background colour, light direction, crop and space around the product. Then write an alt text of at most 12 words for each product that describes it plainly. Start with the checklist.

We recommend a specialised tool for each process rather than one tool that does everything. Tools that try to do everything rarely do any one job really well, because no single function gets perfected. It is the same in life, in business and in relationships: spread your attention over ten places and nothing gets done properly.
