Guide
Honest hooks that stop the scroll
Make people stop on the first second of your video — and still trust you at the last.
What you need
- Your story in three lines
- The most surprising true fact in it
Steps
Start with movement
The first frame shows someone doing something: jumping, sweeping, ringing a bell.
ExampleKarina jumps onto a hotel bed, pillows flying: “Free suite. And no, I didn't win anything.”
Use a true contrast
Before and after, expected and real, one week versus eight months.
Ask the question your viewer has
One short question they would ask themselves.
Twist the expectation
Show the end first, then go back.
Check it is true
Every hook must match what the video shows. Surprise is fine; a fake promise is not.
