Guide
Give your stall a voice with AI — read the licence first
Make a few short, friendly announcements for a market stall, shop or event in an AI voice — without breaking the voice tool’s terms.
What you need
- An AI voice (text-to-speech) tool
- A small speaker or phone
- Five minutes to read the tool’s licence or plan page
Steps
Write it the way you say it
Use the prompt below to turn your own phrases into 5–8 short lines. Keep your words; the AI only tidies them.
Pick one calm voice
Choose a voice that sounds like someone your customers would trust. Test it at the volume you will really use.
Read the licence before you sell
Free plans often allow personal use only. If the voice helps you sell, check that your plan allows commercial use — and pay for it if needed.
Play it in short rounds
Loop a few lines with pauses between them. A voice that never stops is noise; one line every minute or two is an invitation.
Keep it true
Say only what is true today: what you sell, when it was picked or made, the price if you are sure of it.
The full prompt
Copy it into any AI chat assistant and fill in the brackets.
You help a small seller write spoken announcements. What I sell: [e.g. fresh cranberries and homemade jam] How I usually call out: [write 2–3 phrases exactly as you say them] Where: [market stall / shop door / event] What is true today: [e.g. picked this morning, 3 kinds of jam, card payment] Write 6 short announcements (each under 12 words) in my own style — keep my words where you can. Then write 2 slower lines for quiet moments. Do not invent claims (no “best”, “organic”, “award-winning” unless I wrote it). Finally, list three questions I must check on the voice tool’s plan page before I use these to sell (commercial use, attribution, where I may play them).
What you end up with
A handful of short announcements in your own words, an AI voice you can loop, and a clear answer about whether your plan allows using it to sell.
Common mistakes
- Using a free plan to sell when its terms say personal use only.
- Playing the same line non-stop.
- Letting the AI add claims you cannot prove.
